A new book written by researchers from&nbsp;the University&nbsp;of Bergen&nbsp;provides&nbsp;insights&nbsp;into methodologies for understanding media use.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Media are crucial for how we stay updated on what&#8217;s happening in the world around us, share experiences, and communicate with each other,&nbsp;says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uib.no\/en\/persons\/Hallvard.Moe\">Hallvard Moe<\/a>, a professor at the University of Bergen (UiB).&nbsp;And adds:&nbsp;It&#8217;s important to understand and explain the role of media in society,&nbsp;considering its implications for politics, human freedom, our culture, the environment, and climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uib.no\/personer\/Brita.Ytre-Arne\">Brita Ytre-Arne<\/a>, also a professor at&nbsp;UiB, Moe has written a book that offers a comprehensive overview of methods for studying media&nbsp;use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; The book is\u00a0suitable for students at the bachelor&#8217;s and master&#8217;s levels, as well\u00a0for researchers conducting small and large projects on media use,\u00a0emphasises\u00a0Brita Ytre-Arne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;work&nbsp;provides both groups with the necessary tools to conduct studies on media use.
