\u2013 Over the past several years, Nordicom Review<\/em> has been experiencing a steady growth in the Scopus metrics, in both absolute and relative terms, says Jonas Ohlsson, director of Nordicom and editor-in-chief of Nordicom Review<\/em>. This means that the journal is not only receiving more citations in other scientific journals, but the increase in citations is also higher than that of most international journals in our field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For the first time ever, Nordicom Review<\/em> is now included in the top quartile for Communication journals in the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), which measures the average prestige of the journals in which a journal\u2019s articles are being cited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 This tells us that there is a growing interest for Nordic perspectives also in the larger, high-ranking journals. The new SJR figures indicate that Nordicom Review<\/em> is increasingly considered an authority on new Nordic media research by the international research community, says Ohlsson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Nordicom Review is <\/em>an Open Access digital-only journal published without article processing charges (APCs) for authors. The journal is operated by a complete in-house editorial team at Nordicom, who provides customised marketing efforts for each article published.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 We have been working systematically to increase the quality and impact of our journal for quite a few years now. In order to be successful in the highly competitive world of academic publishing, one must excel in every step of the publication process, from submission to dissemination and marketing.
