{"id":23030,"date":"2026-04-16T10:07:42","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T08:07:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nordmedianetwork.org\/?post_type=phd-courses&#038;p=23030"},"modified":"2026-04-16T10:07:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T08:07:45","slug":"phd-seminar-csr-communication","status":"publish","type":"phd-courses","link":"https:\/\/nordmedianetwork.org\/fr\/latest\/phd-courses\/phd-seminar-csr-communication\/","title":{"rendered":"PhD Seminar: CSR Communication"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The aim of the PhD workshop\/seminar is to provide doctoral students in the corporate communication and CSR field with an opportunity to discuss their dissertation research with fellow students and leading academics in the field of CSR, Sustainability and Corporate Communication.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to the 8th CSRCOM conference, there will special seminar\/workshop for PhD students on 21 and 22 September, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop will be dedicated to Corporate communication, CSR &amp; Sustainability communication themes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop is designed to advance understanding of and skills in mastering the specificities of working on CSR communication themes, including aspects of publishing as well as methodological considerations. In addition, key to this seminar is to enable interactions with and generate feedback from experts in the field of CSR communication. Furthermore in roundtable sessions, workshop participants will receive feedback on their PhD proposal from expert scholars and discuss their PhD project. Submitted proposals will be read by the roundtable facilitators in advance in order to prepare feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This PhD workshop is relevant for students within wider CSR communication and CSR research fields and is appropriate for doctoral students in different stages of their dissertation process. After the workshop students&nbsp; will be provided with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>new specific knowledge about the dissertation topic,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>methodological competences that are relevant to CSR communication and CSR fields,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>general competencies within research design and knowledge dissemination via publishing in peer-reviewed journals.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PhD workshop will take place at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lut.fi\/en\/about-lut\/faculties\/lut-business-school\">LUT Business School<\/a>&nbsp;on 21th&nbsp; and 22th September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activities &amp; Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Doctoral students who would like to discuss their work at the PhD workshop may submit an abstract of their research project via the conference Email (<a href=\"mailto:phdseminar@csr-com.org\">phdseminar@csr-com.org<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The abstract (of up to 3 pages&nbsp;plus references) should present in a concise way the purpose or aim of the project, main theoretical framework\/assumptions and, if applicable, research methods and final or preliminary results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All participants of the PhD workshop will receive a certificate of presentation\/participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Register for PhD Seminar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PhD Workshop Team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mentors involved in the workshop include (in addition to Conference Organizing Team): will be announced!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Amy O\u2019Connor (University of Minnesota)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Charles Cho (Schulich School of Business)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dennis Schoeneborn (Copenhagen Business School)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elanor Colleoni (IULM)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Itziar Castello-Molina (Bayes Business School)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jeremy Moon (Copenhagen Business School)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laura Illia (University of Fribourg)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Michael Etter (King\u2019s College London)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peter Winkler (PLUS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Robert Caruana (University of Sussex)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Steve Brammer (University of Bath)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important dates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>August 21, 2026<\/strong><\/em><br>Phd seminar registration<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>April 30, 2026<\/strong><\/em><br>Submission of PhD proposals&nbsp;(max. 3 pages + figures, tables and references) that describe the subject of interest, the theoretical and methodological approach, preliminary findings (if any), specific problems to be solved (if any), and submission of a ranked (1\u20133, from highest to lowest) preferences of roundtable facilitators to be gained feedback from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>September 21-22, September 2026&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><br>Workshop&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Workshop registration occurs through the conference registration.
