The\u00a0call for papers and panel proposals<\/a>\u00a0will be open until\u00a015 May 2026. This international hybrid conference aims to open an\u00a0interdisciplinary forum\u00a0for discussing how individual and group identities are discursively construed in today\u2019s increasingly polarised societies, and how discourse can serve as a medium for reproducing or challenging social divisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference invites\u00a0international scholars at all career stages\u00a0from across the transdisciplinary field of\u00a0Critical Discourse Studies\u00a0to explore how social divisions and identities are discursively shaped, contested and transformed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference is hosted by Vilnius University (Lithuania), in collaboration with DiscourseNet (International Association for Discourse Studies<\/a>) and the\u00a0DARE\u00a0<\/a>Horizon Europe postdoctoral project, which\u00a0investigates how polarisation and identities surrounding the abortion debate are constructed in European mainstream media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
