The NordMedia2021 Conference received 432 submissions in total. Among these, 62 were assigned to the doctoral preconference. The submission deadline was on 10 March.
The 25th NordMedia conference, entitled Crisis and Resilience: Nordic Media Research in the Frontline, will be held in Reykjavík, Iceland, on August 18–20th 2021. The conference will include sessions organized in eleven divisions and four temporary working groups.
The decisions on accepted papers for the main conference and the preconference will be taken in mid-April.
The decision concerning the question whether the conference will be an onsite conference will be taken in May.
The local conference organizers at the University of Iceland have decided not to organize a hybrid conference, which means a conference offering possibilities for both virtual and onsite participation. This means that the conference will be either entirely virtual or physically organized on the campus in Reykjavik. Participants will be informed about the decision before the registration starts.
