Venues for NordMedia23 Has Been Booked

The planning committee for NordMedia23 in Bergen has settled the venues that will be used for the conference.

The planning committee for NordMedia23 is happy to inform you about the venues for the conference of 2023.

The conference will take place on two closely located venues:

  1. Media City Bergen, which is home to the University of Bergen’s study programmes in journalism, TV production, media and interaction design, and artificial intelligence, the research center MediaFutures, as well as significant media industry players, will be the venue for most working groups.
  2. Scandic Ørnen, a conference hotell just down the street, will be the venue for some working groups, the conference lunches and the plenary sessions.

Furthermore, Grieghallen will host the conference dinner. The concert hall is best know to be the main stage of Bergen International Festival, but it also hosted Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 (and so you don’t have to google it yourself, the important results were Sweden 5th, Denmark 6th, Norway 12th, Finland 15th and Iceland 16th).

All venues are located in comfortable walking distance to both each other and to Bergen bus station, the train station and the tram line.
