As Europe faces challenges that were unimaginable only a few years ago, many scholars in the Nordics could probably answer our question, “why should we support higher education in Ukraine?” However, we will probably get the best answers from Ukraine.
With help from SUJO – Center for Investigative Journalism and their vast international network, we were able to get in contact with professor Maksym Balaklytskyi and his colleagues at Karazin Kharkiv National University. From Kharkiv we have gotten Ukrainian views on the question, “why should we support higher education in Ukraine?” These views will be published in a series of articles during the coming weeks.
We hope these views will serve as inspiration and confirmation for continuing internationalisation and collaboration in European research, so please check in our website, newsletter, and social media channels in the coming weeks.
