The participant gets a good overview from different forms of IPR (e.g. copyrights, patents, trademarks) and how he/she should take IPR into account when giving lectures, publishing results or planning a new business based on his/her know-how or an invention.

Basic information from intellectual property rights (Copyrights, Trademarks, Patents and Utility model), Patent databases,Inventions at the University, Importance of IP rights in a company, Commercialization of research results at the University of Oulu.

The course will be arranged in English twice per year: in March and September/October.
