NordMedia Conference 2023

See you in 2025 in Odense!

Next NordMedia conference will be organized on 13–15 August 2025 in Odense, Denmark.

NordMedia23 was organized in Bergen, Norway, on 16–18 August 2023.

The conference attracted 401 registered participants from 18 different countries, and 375 papers were presented. This made the conference the most popular NordMedia conference ever.

Registration and Accommodation

The early-bird registration ended 28 June. The regular registration started 29 June.

The upcoming NordMedia23 Conference offers an interactive exhibition called “Future Fest”. Here, you can interact with a dozen prototypes that explore solutions for “good communication” in emerging media technologies.

Divisions and TWGs

NordMedia23 has twelve permanent divisions and three temporary working groups (TWGs). All abstracts must be addressed to a specific division or TWG.

NordMedia has been held every second year since 1973. The conference migrates among the five Nordic countries, with each country hosting the conference every tenth year.

NordMedia2023 was organized by the University of Bergen in cooperation with the national Nordic research associations and Nordicom. Suggestions and ideas about the conference can be sent to Nordicom at nordmedia@nordmedianetwork.org and will then be forwarded to the Nordic planning committee.
