About the division
The Media Industries Division has a history as a meeting place for media economic researchers in the Nordic countries and beyond to present and discuss on-going and finalized research and to initiate future projects and collaborations. The division invites scholars to reflect on the management, economics, and policy of mediated communication, focusing on firms, markets, and institutions as well as policy-related aspects of state intervention in the media markets. We encourage submissions reflecting the insights of diverse disciplinary perspectives and research methodologies, both empirical and theoretical.
This division accepts full papers, long abstracts, panel presentations and workshops. Discussants will be appointed to papers and long abstracts, but the division also assumes that all participants will read each other’s papers in order for the discussion to be more informed.
