I am a versatile Communications Professional, interested in various aspects of interpersonal and organizational communication in the changing working life. I strongly believe that social interaction operates as the foundation on which well-being and success are based on.
I have been working in the field of communications for around two decades, during which time I have held a number of roles including Leading Communications Consultant, Director in Training and Development, Communications Researcher and Trainer. I am currently working as a Senior Researcher and Adjunct Professor of Communication Studies at the School of Marketing and Communication, University of Vaasa, Finland. I also continue to work part-time as a Communications Consultant and Trainer.
My interests include strategic communication and strategy communication, communication management and measurement, crisis communication, leadership communication and communication in the workplace, interpersonal communication competence and learning at work, ethics, changing working life and, for example, interaction with AI, as well as qualitative research and CAQDAS/ATLAS.ti.
I enjoy bright conversations and meeting innovative, hard-working people with a positive attitude. For more information, please visit my website at https://www.annelaajalahti.net.
