An award-winning journalist, author, and communication specialist; a founding president and editor-in-chief for SK Media (a digital media initiative established with the main objective of providing an alternative to the muzzled and threatened mainstream media). SK Media is a multimedia platform for solutions journalism, communication, research, marketing and promotional services in Europe and Southern Africa. Operating from Stockholm and Nairobi, SK Media strives to connect businesses, expose opportunities, promote positivity, connect skills and talents, and amplify voices.
With journalistic experience spanning over 20 years, I am also a founding member of the Gothenburg Media Hub, an initiative for cross-border journalism and media projects in the Nordics.
Since June 2020, I have worked as a project consultant in partnership with the Zanzibar-based Center for Strategic Litigation (CSL), on research and documentation of the state of human rights report in Tanzania. The first report was published in 2022.
Between 2019 and 2020, I worked as a project consultant with Sofala Partners Ltd (UK) on the analysis of key developments in Tanzania in the sectors of health, agriculture, politics, cross border migration and investment.
Beginning June 2023, in collaboration with the Tanzania Media Foundation (TMF), I work as a mentor and nurturer of investigative journalists in selected media projects to generate public interest journalistic works for SK Media platforms.
The books I have authored and co-authored include: John Magufuli: An Epitome of Cowardice (2019), Reflections of a Seasoned Journalist: (2019), I AM THE STATE: A President's Whisper From Chato (2023). The books I translated (from English to Swahili): Jesus I trust in You! (1995) and God Rich in Mercy (2001).
