Born in Rijeka (Croatia), she has pursued her scientific and research career at the Institute for Ethnic Studies in Ljubljana (Slovenia), where she has been working since 2006. She has headed the Institute's Rijeka Unit (Croatia) since 2017.
Her research interests focus on the history of the Slovene community in Croatia and contemporary processes within this minority. She regularly publishes scientific papers and books on these topics and participates in scientific conferences.
Since the 2011/2012 academic year, she has been a guest lecturer at the Rijeka Faculty of Arts.
She is also an active member of the Slovene community in Croatia.
