Erik Albæk is professor of journalism & political science and research director in the Centre of Journalism, University of Southern Denmark. His research includes both the antecedents, the production and the effects of news. With his colleagues Arjen van Dalen, Nael Jebril and Claes de Vreese he is the winner of the 2016 Goldsmith Book Prize, Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and The International Journal of Press/Politics Book Award (both for the book 'Political Journalism in Comparative Perspective', Cambridge University Press).
