I conduct practice-based research with a focus on interaction design and user experience to investigate the effects of technology on human behaviour, communication and social interaction. Using qualitative fieldwork methods to understand the implications of how new technologies transform social life and people’s day-to-day lives; a key objective in my work is to understand how complex systems might be successfully embedded into workplaces, leisure environments and domestic settings working directly with stakeholders. I conduct teaching and research in the areas of Human-Centered AI, Human-Computer Interaction and Design Futures.
