Hugo Ekström is a PhD candidate at the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. His research explores how far-right and adjacent discourses are mobilised and circulate in online environments, and how this could contribute to the normalisation of such discourses, thereby influencing society.
