Ida Kathrine Jørgensen is a postdoctoral researcher at the IT University of Copenhagen and holds a PhD in game studies from the IT University of Copenhagen. Her research interests revolve around games as media, realism and abstraction in games, representational conventions and the representation of gender in games. In her PhD she proposed a theory for analyzing games as models building on intermedial theory.

In her current research Ida Kathrine is working on a framework for a situational analysis of games.
