I am a PhD researcher at the Norwegian Academy of Music, with a mixed academic background from the humanities and the social sciences. My research project focuses on the role of music criticism in the Norwegian public sphere, and draws on perspectives from journalism studies, cultural sociology and musicology.
Before joining academia I worked as an orchestra musician, arts and media advisor at the Norwegian Embassy in London and arts editor for a political magazine called Minerva. I write book reviews for the Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv.
