About

I am a PhD candidate in media studies at MediaFutures, University of Bergen. I am interested in how people connect to society through news, particularly the intersection between media experiences, journalism, and the impact of datafication in the media industry. I work primarily with qualitative methods.

My PhD project studies motivations for news payment, time spent on news, and how this relates to valuable media experiences among news audiences. The project is affiliated with Work Package 1, "Understanding media experiences," in MediaFutures, a research centre for responsible research-driven innovation.

I hold a MA in media studies from The University of Bergen, where I studied how people navigate and motivate their "clicks" when reading news online. I have a background in journalism, where I hold a BA.
