Research
I'm an Associate Professor in Digital Humanities at the Faculty of Communication and Arts. My research takes place at the crossroad of communication, design and digital technology studies, where I engage in questions related to algorithms, data relations, artificial intelligence and user’s experiences with digital technology. I'm furthermore an active member in the DigitalMediaLab.
I received my doctoral degree in communication and digital media studies from the University of Erfurt, Germany and my B.A. and M.A. in communication management and PR from the University of Leipzig, Germany. Beyond that I am professionally educated as a media designer and hold a continuing education degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, USA.
Teaching
I have extensive teaching experience in the areas of digital media, communication & IT, digital design & design thinking, organizational & strategic communication, digital methods & user surveys and qualitative & ethnographic methods. I have taught in German, Danish and American university settings.
Collaborations
I am an associated researcher in the HumanImpact project, lead by the University of Copenhagen. HumanImpact is a research project that matches humanities researchers with Danish companies to create valuable knowledge supporting their innovation processes. The project is supported by the Danish Industry Foundation and is carried out in a collaboration with the of the University of Copenhagen, the Danish Chamber of Commerce, Danish Industry and Symbion.
