Since 1977, I’ve been deeply involved in the Danish Graphic Arts Industry.
For the first 15 years, I worked hands-on as a skilled press operator, project manager, and business partner.
Then, I shifted track and spent the last 26 years in academia, working as a teacher, consultant, researcher, and associate professor.
In my academic work, I’ve also served as an Independent Assessor in about 50 legal disputes between customers and suppliers, mostly between print buyers and print providers. These disputes almost always stemmed from dissatisfaction with the final printed product, especially issues with image quality or color accuracy. At the heart of these problems was poor communication. Each side made assumptions about the other’s intentions and practices, which led to unmet expectations.
I have published six double-blind, peer reviewed research papers and two books within my field.
