Olu Jenzen (she/her) is Professor of Media and Digital Culture at the University of Southampton, UK, with expertise in visual digital activism and digital LGBTQ+ youth cultures, specialising in participatory research with young people. She is currently leading an AHRC-funded project on how community belonging can improve liveability, build collective resilience, and support trans and gender diverse young people’s wellbeing. She is co-editor of The Aesthetics of Global Protest (AUP 2020) and the special issue ‘Global Feminist and Queer Visual Activism’ (2022) for the Journal of Cultural Analysis and Social Change, and has published in journals such as Convergence; Feminist Media Studies; Gender, Place and Culture; and Social Movement Studies.
