Siri Senje is a screenwriter, stage director and professor of screenwriting at Kristiania University College. She holds a doctorate in practice-based screenwriting research from the Norwegian film school (2013) and an MFA in stage directing. She is currently project manager of Writing the Writer, a three-year, publicly funded artistic research project, exploring the biographical drama through the writing of a biographical drama series. Senje has written texts for theatre, film and television and published four books. She has served as a gatekeeper at the Norwegian Film Institute, a dramaturge/curator at Norwegian Center for New Playwriting and director in residence at two Norwegian resident theaters. Siri´s current research interests are creative development processes, feedback cultures, and biographical drama. Her screenwriting research has been published in the Journal of Screenwriting, Norsk Medietidsskrift, Kunnskap Kristiania and Rushprint, where she also wrote a blog on scriptwriting.
