I mainly conduct research concerning media practices of children and youth. I seek their perspectives on how media is meaningful and useful to them - as well as the opposite. This leads to insights about how media is connected to play, socialisation, status, learning, etc., and how these aspects function in connection to the agency of children and youth in society.
I am affiliated with the Media Research Group, the Centre for Basic Research and the Digitial Democracy Centre at University of Southern Denmark. I also chair our MA programme in Child and Youth Culture, and serve on the editorial board of Nordic Journal of Pedagogy and Critique.
