Mark your calendars! The next NordMedia conference is set to take place in Helsinki, Finland, on 11–13 August 2027.
The University of Helsinki will host the next NordMedia conference. The local organising committee, which is currently being formed, will be supported in their work by the Nordic planning committee, which includes representatives from each of the national Nordic research associations, as well as from Nordicom, ensuring a broad and coordinated Nordic perspective.
This will be the third time when the NordMedia Conference is organised in the capital of Finland, known as Helsingfors in Swedish, the second official language of the country. Previously, NordMedia was arranged in Helsinki in 1987 and 2007.
Travel to Helsinki is convenient, which is one of the reasons for choosing the capital for the conference venue. Attendees can arrive by flight or ferry, while train travelers have the option to combine rail journeys through Sweden or the Baltics with ferry connections between Stockholm–Helsinki or Tallinn–Helsinki.
Keep an eye on the official conference page for updates and announcements as the planning progresses. The conference page for the NordMedia 2025 Conference in Odense will be closed down within the next few weeks.
