The 50th NordMedia23 Conference, which was held on 16–18 August in Bergen, Norway, attracted a record number of researchers. With 345 papers submitted and 401 participants registered, it became the most popular conference in the Nordic history ever.
The doctoral pre-conference was organized by Nordicom on 15 August for 22 participants.
The conference venues included Hotel Ørnen and Media City Bergen.
The conference was hosted by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Bergen.
The conference dinner was held in the concert hall Grieghallen.
As at all conferences, mingling and networking was an important part of the conference experience.
Besides lectures and paper sessions, the audiences could attend the Future Fest.

The final keynote was delivered by Vilde Schanke Sundet from the OsloMet University on studying youth in digital spheres.
Media City Bergen hosts a number of central media and technology organizations.
