The course enables students to analyse communication and power both “high and low” – at the system level as well as in interpersonal relationships. We emphasize using theory in ways that connect to the students’ own work. Participants have come from a wide range of disciplines and have applied the theory to cases within, among others, politics, health, education, child welfare, media development, security issues, urban planning, minority questions, and organizational cooperation.
Teaching takes place at the University of Stavanger from Monday, May 4, to Friday, May 8, 2026. For students from outside the University of Stavanger, registration should preferably be completed via a separate online form during the period from November 1 to December 1, 2025 (see link below).
