This symposium explores how mediatization, automation, and algorithmic culture transform our institutions, public discourse, and everyday life. From AI systems to platform logics, the event investigates how emerging technologies challenge truth, trust, and authority across democratic societies.
We invite proposals for 20-minute presentations that critically engage with the intersection of media, technology, and society. Topics may include—but are not limited to—epistemic authority, science communication, platform governance, public trust, algorithmic cultures, and infodemic management.
The symposium is a joint initiative of the ECREA Mediatization Section and the Science and Society Research Group at Ludovika University of Public Service.
