The Media and Communication Research Conference is the most significant Finnish conference in its field, bringing together researchers, students, teachers and other experts in the field of media and communication. The next Mevi Days will be held in Vaasa on 7–8 May 2026.
The theme of next conference is Roots – Roots – Roots. Roots symbolize origin, foundation and continuity, but also growth and change. In the soil of media and communication research, the roots branch out in many directions: they reach towards historical starting points and traditions, different substrates and contexts, new practices for producing and disseminating knowledge, as well as symbiotic connections and mycelium experiments.
