About

I am an Associate Professor in International Development at Malmö University in Sweden, co-managing our blended learning online MA program in Communication for Development which was established in 2000. The main questions guiding my research and my active engagement in various public spheres are about the persistence of traditional forms of communication in the digital age and alternative popular avenues of communicating development.
In short, how can communication lead to learning and change challenging white saviorism, stereotypical campaigns or superficial influencer Instagram?
Blogs, Twitter, but also aid worker biographies, memes or podcasts have great potential to inform discussions, but how can they be part of more substantial change?
