The European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA)‘s Audience and Reception Studies Section will be running the pre-conference workshop “ChatGPT and Beyond: AI Literacy for Early-Career Scholars” at Södertörn University on the 29th October 2025 from 14:00-17.00. This is an in-person workshop specifically designed to accommodate about 20 young scholars.
The workshop will offer a space to explore and discuss ethical, professional, and societal implications of using AI in academia. This includes the anxieties, concerns and opportunities arising from generative AI technologies.

Participation is free and open to PhD students and early-career scholars, even if they are not registered for the main conference.
