Lars de Wildt is postdoctoral researcher in Media Studies at KU Leuven, and (has been) a visiting scholar at the University of Tampere (and the Centre of Excellence in Game Culture Studies); at Université de Montréal; and Deakin University in Melbourne. He studies how technologies change contemporary culture; including how videogames changed religion in a post-secular age, and how online platforms changed conspiracy theory in a post-truth age.
