Yvonne Andersson, Ph.D.

Yvonne Andersson holds a PhD in journalism from Stockholm University, Sweden. She has been a lecturer at the Department of Media Studies at Stockholm University but since 2016 she is a full-time researcher at the Swedish Media Council. The primary task for the Media Council is to promote the empowering of minors as conscious media users, why research in the fields of news use among young people and Media and Information Literacy is of great interest. Yvonne also has a research interest in the field of existential media studies and has accomplished studies about social media, terminal illness, death, and bereavement.
