The Nordic Council of Ministers for Culture has developed a new collaboration programme for 2025–2030 and invites your voice. The public consultation ends on 26 April.
Since the Helsinki Agreement was signed in 1962, cultural collaboration has been a cornerstone of the Nordic Council of Ministers. The agreement underscores the Nordic commitment to nurturing cultural development; fostering exchanges in literature, art, music, theatre, film, and other cultural domains; and exploring cooperative opportunities in radio and television.
Building upon this foundation, Nordic cultural cooperation aims to bolster exchanges among cultural and media stakeholders across the Nordic region, stimulate growth in the cultural and creative sectors, and foster increased mobility and dialogue. The principles of artistic and cultural freedom, along with those of independent media and maintaining a fair distance, underpin free expression, knowledge dissemination, democratic participation, and dialogue.
The present collaborative programme stretching from 2022 through 2024 is the basis for the Nordic Council of Ministers’ strategic partnership with Nordicom. The financial support stemming from this partnership is funding Nordicom’s Nordic activities, including the development and operation of the NordMedia Network platform.
The Nordic Council of Ministers for Culture has now developed a new collaboration programme for culture, delineating the political goals and priorities for 2025–2030, and they invite you to submit your insights until 26 April through this link.
