It has come to our attention that some participants of NordMedia 2025 have received scam emails offering access to the conference participants list in exchange for payment.

Please note that this is a scam. We will never ask you to pay for access to the participants list or any similar information.

If you receive such an email, do not respond, and do not click any links or attachments. We encourage you to report the message as spam or phishing in your email program, or to your IT support if your workplace has a procedure for handling such incidents. NordMedia25 Conference Summarised: A Recap from Denmark

The NordMedia conference hit new heights in 2025, breaking records for both attendance and research contributions. A total of 462 participants signed up and 413 research papers were presented – making it the biggest NordMedia gathering in the conference’s 50-year history, and proving that interest in the field is only growing.

Clarification Regarding Registration Fee Adjustment for NordMedia25 Conference

We have recently discovered an error in the registration process for the NordMedia25 conference. Unfortunately, the early bird registration fee was incorrectly charged at a lower amount than the official listed price due to a system confusion with another conference. As a result, SDU will be issuing an additional invoice to cover the remaining balance.

NordMedia25: Final Paper Submission Deadline – 16 June

NordMedia25 has received a record number of abstract submissions this year. Following the notification of acceptance, we would like to remind all participants that the deadline for submitting final papers is 16 June.

NordMedia25: Registration Now Open

Registration for the NordMedia25 conference in Odense is now open. Take advantage of early-bird pricing available through 28 June 2025. Standard registration rates will apply from 29 June onward.

The NordMedia 2025 Conference is set to bring fresh perspectives and more focused, specialised discussions to the Nordic media research community. Hosted in Odense, the conference will feature newly established Temporary Working Groups (TWGs) and Divisions.

NordMedia 2025 invites submissions of papers, panels, and workshops engaging with the conference theme, ‘Imagining Livable Futures’. While we encourage participants to address the theme thoughtfully, creative and interpretive approaches are welcome. The conference is set to take place on 13–15 August 2025 in Odense.
