With NordMedia 2021 completed and summarised, the Icelandic organisers have now passed on the torch to Bergen, Norway. The new planning committee have gathered for their first meeting to start preparations for NordMedia 2023.
Though the conference planning is still at an early stage, the new conference website has just been launched, and it has its home under the tab “NordMedia Conference” here on NordMedia Network. As the planning comes along, the website will be filled with more details about the conference theme, submissions, registration, and programme. For updates about the conference on social media, follow #NordMedia23.
NordMedia 2023 is organised by the University of Bergen in cooperation with the national Nordic research associations and Nordicom. The local planning committee from the University of Bergen consists of Erik Knudsen, Synnøve Skarsbø Lindtner, Ida Vikøren Andersen, Carl-Gustav Lindén, and Knut Risnes. On the conference’s contact page, you can find more information about the NordMedia 2023 planning committee.
In addition to a new planning committee, some of the NordMedia divisions have new chairs for the 2023 conference. You can read more about the different divisions and find the contact information of all chairs on the page Divisions and TWG’s.
The NordMedia 2021 website can now be found on the Previous Conferences page, where you can find information about all past conferences from 1997 onwards. Information about NordMedia conferences before 1997 is only available in print. The 2021 conference is also summarised in an article by local committee chair Valgerður Jóhannsdóttir.
