We Present Three Types of Online Events: Webinars, Presentations and Live Discussion Events

  • WEBINARS – virtual seminars – are online events with one or more speakers and some extent of real-time interactivity. Attendees need an internet access and an audio headset (headphones, microphone). Participants can pose questions in the chat or orally. Some webinars involve group discussions in small groups. Some webinars are recorded and can be viewed afterwards and used, for example, for educational purposes.
  • VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS are pre-recorded lectures that can be watched at any time. They don’t involve any real-time interaction between the presenter and the viewers. However, viewers may be provided with a possibility to leave comments in written form. Besides lectures, virtual presentations can be a dialogue between two presenters or a panel discussion between a number of presenters. Virtual presentations can also be tutorials or educational videos.
  • VIRTUAL LIVE DISCUSSION EVENTS are online gatherings where participants are encouraged to share and exchange ideas in real time. The events can be, for example, brainstorming meetings, experience sharing events, or social networking events. Discussion events can be organized partly in big a group and partly in smaller groups, varying between these two, to enable a more effective involvement of the participants.
